Marathon Training Program
At Good Run, we want to help you do more than just “complete” a marathon, we want you to run your personal best! Good Run’s Half and Full Training Programs offers 3 different types of weekly runs, core strength training to improve and maintain good running form, and more personal attention with before and after metabolic testing! Our unique and thorough testing helps determine the pace or heart rates that you should hold for different types of training runs – helping you run your best race.
4 Month Long Marathon Training Program Overview:- Before and After Metabolic VO2 Assessments
- Tuesday Night Tempo Runs - paces at your Lactate Threshold
- Thursday Night Intervals - paces beyond your Lactate Threshold
- Saturday Long Runs - paces that build your aerobic base and foundation for speed
- Core Strength Training – Ab, mid section, and back exercises to end group runs
Our training schedule start with only 20 miles a week, and peaks at 40 miles a week. Our runners get prepared with less miles due to the hill and speed work training incorporated into our weekly schedule. Few organized marathon training programs offer such varied group workouts.
